Crash reports are used for troubleshooting and software improvements. SimulationX can create a crash report automatically if the program was closed improperly. In order to be able to use automatic crash reports, you need to enable this feature during the installation of SimulationX. When the program is started for the first time, you can choose whether to send crash reports to ESI automatically. This setting can be changed later in the program's options (File → Options → Privacy & Security).
In addition to the specific crash data, the report also includes recovery files, which contain VBScript log files of recorded actions for each opened model, and usage data. This data does not hold any personal information. SimulationX only creates a unique and anonymous identifier in the Windows registry when data is sent for the first time to ensure it is attributed correctly.
